Malka

Malka is a devotional Bhakti Yoga teacher who has been dedicated to her practice for 22 years and teaching for 15 years now. She started off on the path of Iyengar and learned a lot about alignment through this practice.

She then fell in love with heated vinyasa as she started practicing at Yoga Tree in San Francisco where she recieved her 200 hr teaching certificate. She wanted to take the training to deepen her practice but when she moved to Thailand in 2013, she found herself teaching full time at a Wellness Center and realized that teaching was her passion and path. She wanted to take it deeper and in 2014 recieved her 500 hour credentials as she completed her training with Sri Dharma Mittra in New York City. Malka has been teaching ever since. She currently lives in Oakland where she teaches at Left Coast Power Yoga. She also is a trained Massage Therapist and Reiki Master and initiates and trains people to practice Reiki. She is also a Priestess from the Yoruba Tradition of Ifa and implements divination practices from this tradition into her practices. She is also a multi instrumental musician and often brings Sound Healings into her group/ individual offerings. Malka’s joy and passion is to facilitate space for people to deeply transform. She believes in the power of love and community. She has led retreats all over the world and also has experienced the deep wisdom of the body, mind and spirit to rebalance and reprogram when in the presence of loving community, ritual, nature and daily practices of self care. She has seen the profound effects that these retreats have made on individuals and how they have rippled out into communities.

Her intention is to help guide individuals into their life’s purpose, heal and let go of what doesnt serve anymore and step into new chapters thriving and aligned and held and supported by beloved community.
